Anxiety as soon as your eyes open
Iโm currently struggling with this too! Third day off work now, not sure how to tackle it.
Girl I called out of work yesterday too. I want to today but I want to fight through it. I have really bad pms that causes my anxiety and depression. I know I have to learn how to deal with it because I am starting a new job soon. But I'm thinking if I leave my job which accounts for 90% of my stress that it will calm down eventually. I hope you can make it back to work soon.
Thanks love! Iโm currently on my period and wondering if that has anything to do with the dip in my mood.
Snaps to you for fighting it and finding a new job! You looking after yourself โค๏ธ
I use to all the time and I did today as well but apart from today not in a while, hope you have a great day and the anxiety calms down
Yeah I woke up a little nauseated and shakey. I did my meditation and drank some water and felt a bit better. Boo on relapses. I pray your strength to overcome as well.
I have it when I go to bed, then all night and worse as soon as I get up. I have a grueling schedule with a ft job and a family. There's so much to do from early morning at five til I get home at six and then it continues til bed. My mind is spinning. Also have unemployed husband and living at his mother's tiny house. It's chaos!! Any tips?
It is so tough these days being a mother, wife, and full time employee. I think that you need to make it clear to your family that you need your ME time when you get home. Idk if my husband is unemployed then he better cook, clean, and do the laundry. Go home and immediately focus on you for an hour at least. Go take a walk, read a book, watch a little tv, or take a nice relaxing bath.
Thanks. Good ideas. I'll try it.
I recently read that when anxiety is peaking, it is important to push through and do the thing that you are anxious about. If you are having anxiety for โno specific reason,โ push through. It might be leaving your home, going to work or to the market, calling a friend, whatever... The document said that when we cave to our anxiety, we establish subconscious habits that make it easier to cave next time -thus, the domino effect. This sounds HARD but worth it.
I do get that, not quite as bad but feel depressed when I first wake up thinking about having to get through a day feeling anxious. Also I'm retired so I don't usually have things planned. To be honest I find myself leery of trying things because I'm afraid I'll get out somewhere and have problems and need to go home. That's happened many times to me.
Yeah I completely understand that. I remember when I had just started suffering from anxiety and my husband wanted to go to the movies. I didn't even make it through the previews before I couldn't stand being there any longer and we had to leave. He was pissed but I couldn't help it.
Had things like that happen at parties, etc... I would leave without saying goodbye to anyone. I got to a point where I wouldn't even attempt to go to a social function because I knew it wouldn't work. I stopped making plans with friends because Ididn't want to have to leave and spoil their time.
When it was really bad it got to the point where my friends just stopped inviting to go places. That really sucked because I felt that if you are my bestfriend and I am having problems socially like going to restaurants and to the club then you should make time for me and hang out with me in my own settings. I mean she could have come over and watched a movie and order in...but No.
Been there, unless you are actually in something like we both are it's pretty much impossible to understand. I have a good friend who I've known for 50+ years. We grew up in the same neighborhood. He was over yesterday and he will give me things he thinks I should do like get a part time job. He just can't understand how difficult things are for me. He tends to get frustrated because he thinks I won't take any of his suggestions. I tried to explain that I need to do things at my pace but he just doesn't understand. Try to talk to your friend and explain as best you can you're not comfortable in social settings, but if they would come over, more one on one that would work. I hope your friend can understand that and help you. Your friend can't empathize with you but hopefully they can sympathize with you.
I Have Woken Up In The Middle Of The Night With Full Blown Anxiety Attacks. & Mornings Too. I Was Thinking About It & Wondered To Myself, "Where's The Trigger Here" ? Then I Did A Little Research. Our Minds Are VERY Active Wile We Sleep. When We Reach That "Dream State", Therein Can Lie The Triggers Also That Cause Us Anxiety Just Like When We Are Awake. Also Found That The Mind Does Dream EVERY Night Even If It Seems Like You Didn't "Think" You Dreamed About Anything. I Also Found That Weird Off The Wall Dreams Wake Me Up Anxious Wondering "Where The Heck Did That Come From" ? Then I'd Find Myself Raising My Anxiety Trying To Figure Out What I Had Seen or/ Heard To Trigger Such An Intrusive Dream ? Then ? If I Can't Pin Point It ? Then My Anxiety Even Gets Higher ! BUT !* Your Mind Is The Most Amazing Recorder & Storage Department On Earth. Your Mind Is Able To Store Information In A Background That You Are Not Paying Attention To. When Your Mind "Recalls" During A Noticed or/ Unnoticed Dream Cycle, It ALWAYS Puts "YOU" In A Situation Simply Because It's Your Mind....
Hope That Helps Some My Friend.
[ kinda makes ya wonder, if you are like me who likes to keep the tv on even at a low volume, what info is unintentionally being filed and stored ]
Yeah that happened the other night I was trying to go tosleep and as soon as I was drifting off I suddenly sat up as if I had a nightmare and my heart was racing. I do keep the tv on every single night. I have been using this app calm radio which is wonderful or I will put on youtube and play rain sounds...so peaceful.
I Started Trying Benadryl About 30 Min. Before Bedtime. 2 or/ 3. IT WORKS Really Well For Me. There's Different Professional Opinions On Sleep & Sleep Patterns... But ALL Agree That People Have An Average Of About 4 To 5 Dreams Every Night Lasting Anywhere From 2 To 34 Min. Most People Don't Remember Their Dreams, Yet Many Do.. Reason ? Unknown....
Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine used to relieve symptoms of allergy, hay fever, and the common cold. These symptoms include rash, itching, watery eyes, itchy eyes/nose/throat, cough, runny nose, and sneezing. It is also used to prevent and treat nausea, vomiting and dizziness caused by motion sickness. "Diphenhydramine can also be used to help you relax and fall asleep."
I have had bouts of this happening to me, and I know how bad it sucks! This might sound weird, but, for me, when this starts happening, I've found it helpful to put some Halls cherry cough drops by my bedside. As soon as I wake up, I pop one in my mouth. If I start to feel anxious later (especially if I have nausea), I pop one in and take some deep breaths.
Yup! I'm all about the gum too!
Hi friend, I haven't experienced this. But, if I were to, I know that the first thing I would do is pray. Have you tried praying? I want to encourage you to ask God for help and to speak out positive declarations as you experience this. For example, you could say, "I choose joy today," "I am an overcomer," "I am strong." I have learned to speak life over myself so that I don't give in into any negative lying thought. I hope that this works. I am praying for you!
