I particularly loved getting the tram to Salford quays and going to the war museum ...I’m not great with heights but did take the lift to the top of the museum to see the views...first time I didn’t realise there were grills on the floor which meant you could see down to the ground through them 😱😱😱😱 my knees went 😂😂

Went past it will have to go in next time, the trams are brilliant for getting about. I will be going wandering on them again next week, to see what I can get up too.
hi olivia,when I was young many years ago Salford keys was no9 dock I lived nex to 9
out of our bedroom window we could strate into the docks every morning about
10thousand dokers would pass the front door,my dad was one ,their was allway thing
hampering on the docks I remember one night a large ship court fire at 9 dock,you could
feel the heat from our window,my dad was working offloading her at the time,and we all
sat up all night for news he aeeived home next morning black from head to foot it was
a lampblack ship.theese are some merories,of 7 children living in a slum house ,but
still managing to have a wonderfull life.

Weird. My favorite singer/songwriter, Mark E. Smith*, was from that part of Manchester... and he passed away a year ago today. (* Yes, I know he was a rather... "contentious" fellow and there's many who didn't appreciate his attitudes.)
