Mental Health at Work

I’ve been working at my current job for over 7 months. Within that time I was off in summer for a week due to a really rough patch with my anxiety and now due to suffering with my depression quite badly, I’ve found it really hard going into work so I’ve been off for 2 weeks straight.

I am hoping to go back to work next week, but I’m just worried and scared of what my team manager will say. They know exactly what is going on and have been kept updated throughout.

My main manager and HR have been really supportive, but for some reason my team manager has been really blunt and funny with me when I’ve tried to explain to them how I’m feeling.

They really don’t understand or show any sympathy regarding mental health.

Not quite sure how to approach them when I do return to work next week!

Think about yourself first, no 1 is more important than so called colleges. Let the world and his wife think what they want. They probably have mental health issues also but don't have the courage to admit it. They are storing it up and will have problems in the future. Don't worry be happy. No 1 comes first, work second. 😋
