I Reach For You (a poem)

When the rain is falling and the night Is dark, I reach for you.....When the road is long and I can't go on, I reach for you.....'Cause there's no place that I can go that you are not there too / There's no pain that I can face that you can't help me through.....When my fears kick in and I'm near the end, I reach for you.....When my heart is broke and I need a friend, I reach for you....You give me your all just to help me survive and face my greatest fears / You stand by my side to keep me safe and wipe away my tears.....I reach for you....I reach for you.... [I wrote this as a song. Back in the day I wrote over 900 songs. Sadly they were all lost to me. So, my favorite people: What am I trying to say here? Psycho analyze away....Special shout out to BonnieSue, MariaLove123, Starrlight, Anxiety 59, AaronM, my writing friends, and all the other friends I have made so far! Kazillions of hugs to the entire ADAA citizenry....

Your praise means everything to me, my friend. I wouldn't have shared this gift but, my friends here that know I write kept urging me to reach out with my words and my heart. Since I have done this, the response has been amazing. And when I hear from you I smile immediately. You helped me out towards my early days here. You have a place in that poem too. 750 kazillion hugs for being such a good, helpful and decent person!

Yes. I was speaking of God first. But, I was also referring to my many friends here, secondly. I reach for all of you sometimes when I need to. You're always there and of course, so is God!

agree with aaron that the song is strongly oriented toward God. Other ppl can be included but only God can do some of the things you mention up front.

My very good friend, just as I carry God in my heart and he can do all of the things in the poem, I also carry all of my friends in my heart and emotionally, metaphorically & literally they can help me with all of those problems too. Yes, it's about God first as it should be, but, it's also strongly about you and my other true friends out here too. Your friendship sure fits in this poem!
