Do you pray/meditate? Think of me.

Next Tuesday my 17 year old daughter is having major back surgery. 5 years ago she broke her back and has been hunched over since compensating for the pain. When she broke it there wasn't anything they could do. Now she has scoliosis. They are cutting her open the entire length of her spine. They tie wire around each spinal disc and then put in a titanium rod. They tie each spinal disc to the rod and slowly over 12 hours straighten out her back.

IM FREAKING OUT!!!

I will appear strong for her. Nobody will know except my wife who has gotten good at reading my moods.

Hi aaronm

I’m sorry to hear about your daughters accident and injuries..I can understand you being freaked out about her having the operation..

.

I had not heard about scoliosis until recently when Princess Eugenie got married here in U.K...she has scoliosis and has a scoliosis scar which she showed by wearing a wedding dress that revealed it. I thought it was a brave thing for her to do and such a good thing to highlight it ..and make people aware..I found it inspiring...I’m attaching a link which gives some details ..she looked so very happy and beautiful,on her wedding day...😊

Thinking of you and your daughter...

That has to be scary for both of you and your family! Praying for you all. 💖

There is a famous YouTube entertainer, Link Neal (he & his best friend are Rhett & Link). His daughter went through surgery for scoliosis, too. He talks about the post-surgery here: clip.fail/video/GjCnyJN0OYU

I am saying prayers for you, your daughter and your family!

My daughter has a friend who went through this. First a break of several vertebrae then the scoliosis developed over several years. The rod in her back now is incredibly long (I saw the post-op X-ray). She is a BALLERINA now. And has the most amazing posture. I'm hoping for outcomes as excellent as that! LOTS of prayers and will be thinking of you!!

Oh I feel for you Aaron! Its not nice feeling helpless while someone you love is going through it. My thoughts will be with her (and you!) You'll stay strong for her. (And much waiting on her when she is recovering!!)

That sounds like a pretty complicated surgery and it’s normal to be stressed but I will pray that God will give you peace and guide the doctors’ hands. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
