Not sure how long I'll be here...

I don't know how long I'm gonna survive, I'm terrified. Yesterday, my mom and her now ex boyfriend got into a light argument, I heard a loud pop and thought he fired a gun. I ran out of the house and check behind, he was running behind me. He ducked off and got into a BMW and drove straight by me. I called the cops, they showed up, my mom explained that she never saw him with a gun. There are no bullet holes anywhere so there's no evidence he fired a gun. However, I'm afraid he's after me since I called the police on him. They are searching for him and I think he's gonna be pretty upset that I called them. Many people are telling me that I did the right thing but I'm still on edge. Idk what happens next or if I'm in danger....I'm afraid for the health of my family and mine....Idk what to do....I can't live like this...the constant fear and dread in my heart and chest feels like it's gonna explode....I can't do this....I was only trying to protect my family....Now I worry that I have just put us all on the line...and horrifyingly...I don't think I have long ...at all

Yes you did the right thing. Do you have any other family or friends you can stay with?

I agree with lynnalice in that you did the right thing. I also agree in that you

should find a safe place to stay for a while. Let the police know of your fears.

Allow the authorities to do their job in protecting you. Are you a minor?

Her ex would be a fool to harm you or your mom. Why did he run? Has he

something to hide?

Let the police advise you as to where to go and also let there know where you

will be so they can keep you safe. I'm sorry all this is happening to you. x

I am of age, I'm a legal adult now. My mom thinks he ran because he also heard the pop and he thought that she had fired her gun at him. I think he may have been preventing me from calling the police but left before they could arrive.

ThatKidd, If he didn't hurt your mom and he doesn't have a record/warrant, then

he has nothing to worry about the police being called. This happened in your own

home and you had every right to protect yourself and your family. Once that report

is filed then it's up to the police to protect all of you and they will. Keep in contact

with them. I want you to be safe. x

Are you still home, you should go back on campus

Yes go stay with her, you won't be able to rest if you stay at your mom's

Hey, nice to see you're back

Did your mom said what happened, what caused the noise

She doesn't know where the noise came from. None of us do actually.

You should find a place to go until things cool off
