I’m sorry you feel so awful..

Speak to your gp ..he or she can advise generally , also alternatives, and around coming off it gradually if it’s thought best..

I hope you feel better soon 🌺

Talk to your GP before you take this medication. It may be you need to come off the medications in steps.

You also need to understand your expectations regards this drug, in the early stages after initial time period the need to move on my outweigh the actual side affects of the medication

I don’t think it’s wise to withdraw from anything quickly & I don’t think 5 weeks is long enough. I’ve been taking it since 2006 on varying doses depending on how well I’ve been. A combination of therapies and drugs works for me to maintain wellness. If you feel that terrible keep persevering to get an appointment. Messing around with doses just makes things worse.

From personal experience, Venlafaxine can be VERY difficult to come off of - you need to do it under the supervision and support of your doctor/psychiatrist. Please consult your doctor/psychiatrist and get support and care before doing anything!
