Good Days

In recent months the PTSD has been really acting up making the depression and anxiety worse. In addition I have such a problem with sleep which doesn't help the other issues. Wednesday the depression was really bad but after work I went to a friend's house to work on getting ready for Thanksgiving the next day. She was done by the time I got there so we sat and played games and had some good laughs. I felt so much better by the end of the day. Another friend sent me a text saying some really nice things. Thanksgiving day I had a hard time getting going but finally did and went back to my friend's house to celebrate with her family. We had great food, lots of laugh and then my friend and I went back to her house and we just talked and worked on a jigsaw puzzle. Today I feel so much better. It is always wonderful to have good days. They make you feel like you can beat the anxiety and depression. I hope everyone here also had a great holiday and have happy days this weekend.

Right? All we really need to clear our minds is good vibes, achievements, victories. Good things build on themselves. Just like bad things build on themselves.

I recently have been super drawn into Ancient Roman history and especially Julius Caesar.. when I feel bad I just imagine him. Did he go home and thought - oh I feel depressed and all those thousand men we killed.. oh..

NO!. He went home and peobably dreamed of conquering more Gaul and picking his fights with Roman senate. He was on a roll. Achievements breed more achievements.
