Friend's Birthday Party

Hi All - I just got home from my friend's birthday party. I was extremely nervous while I was there. It's the first time I have left the house in maybe 6 weeks (not counting my covid booster last week). There were about 15 of us there at the park, most of them I know, but there were my friend's sister & her husband there also. The minister from my church was there also. It has just been so long since I have spent much time away from home. I feel like they must have known how anxious I was, but they welcomed me anyway. The day after tomorrow the minister is picking me up so I can work at church. Now that I have got my covid booster, I need to start getting out more but I have to say it is really scary.

Thank you Googoodollsfan - aside from my anxiety, I did have a good time. Now that I will be working at church every week, I am hoping either the anxiety will be less, or that I will handle it better, or both. Covid has been so much a part of life here but hopefully things can get back to normal now.

Yes, Covid has really done a number on all of us. We’re all isolating too much. I’m glad you’re trying to get out more. It’s nice you’re helping out at your church.

congratulations 🎉 you made to the party 🥳 And even though it was scary and you were nervous noticed people welcomed you & probably didnt actually noticed anything different about you. More importantly you survived and nothing bad like you may have thought of happened. In fact you picked up work. So kudos to you 😊🫂❤️

"I feel like they must have known how anxious I was, but they welcomed me anyway. "

But that's OK.

It's actually kinda cool. :)

.

People that know (or possibly know) that you have anxiety, and still want to be around you, are (usually) good people.

If you feel in your heart that they are not being fake around you, then these are good people to have in your life. :)
