So after 6 and a half years of taking sertraline(lexapro from 5 years before that) and 11 years total I have been taking medication my psychiatrist slowly weaned me off sertaline because I told him I am doing much better. I've been off it for 3 months now and I haven't had any anxiety symptoms. I am happy, at the same time I am worried it might come back again. Is there any way to prevent my anxiety from randomly coming back to me again? This has happened before when I was 17. I had been taking lexapro before that when I was 13 and took the med for about a year and stopped taking it for about 3 years and when I was 17 my anxiety came back. It was the worst year of my life and I was a senior in high school, a time I should've been enjoying myself! Please anxiety be gone for good...

That is really good news you have been able to come off the medication and have been off it for 3 months! I say just keep monitoring yourself. In addition make sure to get proper sleep, eat right and exercise. Exercise can help so much. I am really happy for you. Hoping some day I can come off my medicine! Best!
I just went to my last psychiatrist appointment today and he told me I'm all good to go now and I'm free off any mental treatment. But I'm very surprised how noone else cares to give me advice.. this is so sad... Or is it that people are just jealous that I am no longer struggling with my mental issues?
I, too, am off my Rx drugs! I sleep so much better!
Enjoy. I'm very happy for you.
Please try not to worry about anxiety coming back. If it were to come, you know what works.
This is what is working for me. Black coffee and a good quality olive oil added to my diet. I'm supporting my liver and moving on!
Thanks. I find myself sleeping much better after I stopped taking the meds as well. Life feels so much better. For now...
