The funniest thing i heard in years!

Usually with people suffering from mental issues and disorders, they tend to spiral out of control with their negative behaviour. Example: If you have Obesity issues and you try to lose weight but one day you break the regimen, you immediately blow it out of proportion and instead of sticking to a Bar of chocolate or a burger, you end up excessively overdoing it.

I was sharing this behaviour recently with a personal trainer and what he said has genuinely shocked me, made me laugh and gave me a fresh perspective.

He turns around to me an says:" If you are driving in your car and you blow a tyre what do you do? Do you fix the tyre or do you flatten the other 3?"

I hope this story helps you even in the slightest way.

Wishing you all a calm morning, evening or night.

Breathing is free so take a few deep ones.

Great comment....really a good one..... I love that analogy.....

It reminds me of this scene in a tv show years ago where this guy was sharing all his self loathing and guilt about a situation he was feeling he somehow had any control over happening. In this seen between the two men, when the one guy stopped talking, the other guy opens his bottle of water and splashes it on the other guy and says....'there, now you are absolved of all your sins and can now let go of this BS of blaming yourself for what had happened to someone else, you are not so powerful that you had anything to do with an act of God to another human being'.....

Weightloss has and still is quite a struggle. The only thing stopping me from losing control is "access". So my portion control is mandated by my access. I do not keep anything in the house except water and coffee.

I had recently tried Hypnotherapy and has worked miracles for me. Even when i order food now, i hesitate when i try to add side orders or fries. I could not afford surgery options and found the therapist through a couple of friends she helped with quitting smoking.
