When will it be over?
hi and a very warm welcome to you.lets hope you get plenty of help support and friendly advice on here.could you start a plan say for tomorrow im going to have 20 minutes quality time with your child.then after a week build it up to 30 minutes and so on.you will begin to see your child grow more happy that he/she is spending more time with them and that happiness will begin to rub off on you.please speak to someone though it will help no end.kids pick up on these things.
Thank you . ive just been anxious abt starting meds but i know i need to.
Hi I don't know what meds you have been given but unless you have a very serious mental illness they are not going to be strong and powerful drugs you know! They are just run of the mill ad's so why not start them to see if they help? x
Welcome to the group! It’s hard to struggle with anxiety and depression no matter what but especially as a parent. I can safely say though you must be a great mother. Most bad mothers I’ve ever known wouldn’t care about getting better for the sake of their child. They’d do it for themselves.
I truly hope you find what you’re looking for and can begin to heal. Don’t hesitate to post or reach out to someone if you feel like you need to. Stay strong and believe in yourself! You can get better 🙂
Welcome, I'm glad you reached out! How old is your child? Are you at home or do you also work outside the home? No matter which, your plate is FULL FULL FULL! Despite that try to have some time - even 10 minutes at first, each day for YOU - to just soak in the tub, read a novel, go for a walk, just SIT, anything at all that is just YOU FOR YOU. Look for the good things in each day - it sounds trite but really if you start to make a list of just 3 or 4 things each day to be thankful for that does help also. And...don't be afraid to take medication or talk to a counselor -- that is what helped ME tremendously. Keep talking to us here too
are things any better for you? How are you doing??
