Also, a couple of weeks ago, Hubby and I adopted a new kitty. We named her Miss Sasha. She’s been nervous but she’s coming around and letting us pet her.

I strongly agree. I have 2 cats and 2 dogs. They are my therapy. Unconditional love 😊. Beautiful kitty.

Yes, they can. Cats are skittish in new homes. I have two and honestly, they are like family. In time your Miss Sasha will relax in her surroundings. Suggestion: let her come to you, and when she does, speak gently and offer your hand to smell. She'll let you know when she's ready for petting and holding.
