Impatient treatment needed asap, can anyone help??

I am going round in circles!!! How do I end this vicious cycle of despair??

20 years of suffering from these illnesses and conditions, and I get some help with moving forward with treatment, then I just self sabotage it!! Why ??

Dual diagnosis is so difficult with accessing the correct treatment needed, and I don't know where to turn.

I need detoxification and rehabilitation asap, but can't find any NHS help, has anyone else got ideas, as I am not sure if I can go on!!

West Yorkshire area where I live have limited access to services.

Thanks to all for suggestions.

I don't think there is any NHS help now unless you are considered a danger to others or yourself. Even then there seems little help available.

I hope you find some though. x

Thanks for your help. I have managed to get some help with this, and getting an appointment with services.

I know it's silly that you have to be a danger to yourself or others to get immediate help.

I've been waiting 20 years, surely I've been waiting enough time!!!

It's no one s fault, but I get so far then they change services, and have to start again!!

Hiya sorry to hear your having a really difficult time. NHS is limited I think regards to services with inpatients and heard that unless danger is imminent they pretty much refer you back to GP/counselling/cbt. Have you phoned the IAPT service to see what they offer, it’s not immediate though unfortunately. But please keep talking and take care x

It's nice to hear from others that understand what I'm going through.

I think I self sabotage my own recovery and treatment, and I am stuck in an awful cycle.

I was made aware of this by a friend a couple of days ago, when again I was late for an appointment, having had all day to get there!!

Why I do this is an issue I need to look at, otherwise I think I will never move forward.

Thanks for your support.

You are human. We all are, please don’t beat yourself up, just look at it as hurdles that you need to get over. One step at a time x
