Am i the only one? Well i know i am not because anyone going through anxiety is seeking answers. I have had so many panic attacks and feeling foggy headed and unbalanced in the last month that i have to question the damn doctors in their knowledge of anxiety and panic attacks. I feel like there needs to be more research done as to why so many of us suffer from this, and what is causing it. Not just oh you have this problem so take this pill. There has got to be stop to it at some point and pinpoint the problem and find a way to fix it instead of by pharmeceutical measures.

I also wish there were more information out there for us. I wish I knew why too.
You are so right that it is best to find the cause of the anxiety/panic attacks rather than cover it up. Have you been working with a therapist at all to help with that or just seeing your doctor? It seems like most doctors have no time (and no training?) to sit and work out all the issues with a patient so are quick to prescribe meds. They can help to take the edge off and help you get through the day but you're so right, they don't treat the real problem. If you can think back to what was going on before you became anxious and see if you can figure out some sort of trigger and cause for it. That's where a therapist might be able to really help you too - not just in finding the cause but then dealing with whatever it was and the effect of it on you. I hope you can find the help you need.
