I used to take it and was fine. But i have learned to take it in the morning, because if i took it later in a day i could not sleep. Was too energized. Good luck, i hope it would help you, remember it takes a few weeks to start working though.

Hi just wanted to let you know I’ve been taking it for over a year now and it is help me tremendously!

Just make sure you’re taking it in the morning first thing I take something to help me sleep at night but recently I told the doctor I was tired during the day so they recommended me taking the Lexapro at night with my sleep medicine guess what I didn’t sleep for days straight last week so I decided myself that no I’m going back to Lexapro during the day and I actually slept last night for the first time in weeks! I believe the only side effects I had were constipation and excessive thirst... how many milligrams did they give you?

See the dr told me to take in the morning the counseling from work said at night. Currently I’m on 10mg which she said she’s going to increase

Lexapro makes me a little thirsty but that is okay as I need to drink more water anyway. I'm always tired so I can't tell if it makes me more tired or not.

I wouldn't be nervous about it. It appears to have the least amount of side effects for that type of med (SSRI).

Lexipro definitely has some side effects. If it’s intolerable, let your doctor know. I did have to switch medications in the past. If it’s a legit side effect you should journal it. The most important thing is to taper on and off. Never go cold turkey or you wil not be a happy camper!!!

I’m ok I had a bad day today with anxiety but I also didn’t take my medication. Once I took it I was better. I’m tired with it a little nauseated but I’m ok. It’s ok to be anxious about taking it. I was sooo anxious it took me awhile to actually work up courage to take anyrhing.

Thats me right now I want to take it tonight. But I’m so anxious about the side affects I know everyone is different but I find that people around my age group only have tiredness. May I ask your age range?

Yes I don’t mind I’m 27. You can take a half like I did and if you don’t like the way it makes you feel let your dr know.

I have been on lexapro before left it cold turkey and now paying the consequences. I took if for about 10 years and it did great I left it and was put back on it 30 days ago. The only side effect has been night sweats and dry mouth but it’s been ok. It hasn’t completely kick in yet as my doctor told me it takes between 6 to 8 weeks to fully help. I do have ups and downs with my anxiety but my doctor told me to be patient I have been patient praying and hoping it kicks in soon. I need my life back. Don’t be afraid it might help you quicker all body’s are diffrent. It’s a very good anti depressant
