Steph, I get the dizziness with anxiety also. Having it right now, actually. Best to lie down and distract yourself. You could also be dehydrated and not know it. I am supposed to drink 96 oz of water per day based on my weight.

Another thing that may help is something that ballet dancers do when dizzy. Pick one fixed object at a distance and stare at it until dizziness subsides. Feel better

Thank you , I hate it when I get it bad like I am today I always feel so off balanced I try not to panic to think something is wrong with me when I feel like this I drink nothing but water but I just found out I have gastritis so on top of my anxiety I feel horrible acid reflex 😭 thank you I’m going to try and focus on something and see if it helps

Hi Stephanie89 it's awful i'm feeling so dizzy right now, and the weird thing is , even though i've felt it many times before,- it still scares me like i want to call 911 but i'm just trying to breathe and pray. it just came out of the blue and it's so scary. I guess if worst comes to worst i'll take my klonopin but i reserve those for emergencies bc i don't want to get addicted. When it gets really bad, are you able to get thru it without meds? i hate it , it's so disorienting. i pray for healing for all of us

Hi reinagrace. more than any other symptoms of anxiety, the one that always freaked me out most was dizzy/off balance feeling. The fact of not feeling in control always scared me as well. There are methods you can use besides taking medication. One is to make sure you are well hydrated. Drinking water throughout the day affects the blood volume in our body allowing it to circulate properly oxygenating all major organs. Making sure we are breathing properly is also important. When anxious we tend to either hold our breath or shallow breathe. I turn to You Tube and watch this video...."Sinking & Slowing Breathing Meditation" by the Quiet Mind Café. There are many more that focus on deep breathing while relaxing your mind and body. That alone can help in feeling more stable.

Of course reaching for your medication is always an option in a pinch. Feel better soon. x

sorry , that your med makes it even worse. yeah it's tough. i try to eliminate stress as much as possible; see if there's things in your life you can simplify so you keep anxiety from going out of whack. Prayers and blessings
