Does anyone get this empty stomach/burning gnawing type pain in their upper stomach that makes their dizziness worse? I get it once and a while (it’ll last a few days usually), and it’s like I’m so hungry even if I just ate. Although it does lessen for a little while after food but not by much. It seems to occur during periods of high stress but I’m not sure if it’s maybe a bug, ulcer, gastritis, or if it really could be a pesky anxiety symptom.
Thoughts????

For me, it’s gastritis. Mine will last for a few weeks during times of stress or anger/resentment. It will also flare up if I stop taking OTC meds for it. I have to take them everyday. Very miserable...I hope you start feeling better soon!
I do have acid reflux actually.. except wouldn't the feeling be coming from my chest area? I feel the acid at the base of my throat mostly. Not sure if this would be connected to the feeling I've mentioned in my upper stomach.
Yeah like hypercat said there’s 101 reasons for your symptoms I’ve had 2 endoscopy,s with minimal sedation they aren’t that bad and youlle find out what’s happening or rule stuff out .
Hi there could be 1001 causes so it's would be best to get it checked out by a doctor. They should run some tests and if they come up with nothing then it could be anxiety. x
I’ve felt that before too, & I’d love to know what it could be. I haven’t had it for awhile, but it’s like I have to hurry & eat or drink something right away. Once I eat like a bite or two, I feel so much better. I’ve always thought it was my mind playing tricks on me. I’d like to get it checked out too. Thanks for reminding me.
I'm the same way. I scarfed down a protein bar at FOUR AM this morning it was so bad.. I felt a little better afterwards. It's such a weird sensation, and it will be there for a few days and then go away. I do notice it goes away once I start taking a probiotic for a couple days.. maybe bad gut bacteria??
I get this a lot but I have GERD but usually keep symptoms somewhat under control with meds. A lot of times if I eat just a little bit of yogurt it helps for some reason.
I haven't been officially diagnosed with GERD but I do have a lot of acid reflux/painful acid sensations at the base of my throat/chest. Maybe I sometimes have excess acid in my stomach which causes the feeling.
Funny; as I started to read this post, I became overcome with nausea...never had such experience before. After reading again, and feeling a bit better, I'm thinking it's anxiety related and also migraine...I am dealing with both.
Good old anxiety... it causes SO many symptoms and then when we do get something unfamiliar we're like uhh.... is this anxiety or something else? Hahah. I hope you feel better though xx
I have to take stomach enzymes because of that. It almost feels like I'm having a heart attack. I get a bad pain when I breath. Still undergoing test tho.
Hi, Nearly 30 years ago I had similar symptons, stomach feeling like it was empty, though had eaten an hour ago. Also had very painful acid reflux, I cut out all sugar(which also means orange juice, even though its natural sugar, and cut down heavily on carbs.) I started to have a probiotic before each meal and and some Betaine HCI (a nutrionist said my heartburn/acid reflux was caused by too little acid in my stomach, not by too much) during eating my evening dinner (provided some protein was in the meal) and my digestion stared to feel better after a week or so, I carried on for several weeks. I dont know if this will help you, but it helped me.
