Hey! I'm new. Have chronic anxiety among other things. Got stressed earlier, went into a panic and got an immediate migraine. It's still here and i cant go to sleep it hurting so bad. Its been like 11 hours already. I need relief. I've taken medicine, hot bath, cool bath cloth on my eyes. Nothing is budging it. My husband keeps telling me to come to bed but he doesn't understand how this feels. And i want relief so bad its bout got me in a panic again!!!

I'm on my way to church now. Didn't sleep a wink. It has let up some but its definitely still present. I sing on our praise and worship team. Only 6 of us sing. Hopefully i can make it through it.

I was recommended to take:

Imitrex® (sumatriptan succinate) is a selective 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonist (triptan) indicated for the acute treatment of migraine, with or without aura, in adults who have a clear migraine diagnosis. It is taken by mouth for the relief of migraine severity, from moderate or severe pain to mild or no pain.

Imitrex generally works within 2 hours. It is intended to reduce acute migraine symptoms, as it will only treat a migraine that has already begun. It should not to be used as a prophylactic therapy to prevent the onset of migraine.

OH I am SOOOOO sorry. Migraines are THE WORST. Did you make it through church? How are you feeling today? I agree with what faux said about Imitrex - talk to your doctor about it, it definitely helps my son, my husband and I with our migraines! Praying you are feeling better....

I have not had a migraine for over year and I had a full-blown one a week ago. People that have never experienced them, cannot understand ever what they’re like. I am so sorry ! One time I got some pink Himalayan crystal salt and put in a full glass of water and chugged it and it took my headache right away, I tried it a second time and I actually just threw up the water. But it does take the edge off !
