Hello šŸ‘‹šŸ»

I am wondering if anyone has trouble letting even the smallest things go ? Like if someone says one thing to me I donā€™t agree with or like about myself I tend to overanalyse it for days going round and round in my head ! šŸ˜© where other people would shrug it off and forget it I canā€™t let it go ! I know this is just a part of my depression and anxiety but Iā€™m really struggling ! Thanks xx

Hey there Dani! Welcome to this lovely little forum! To answer your question, YES. I have a terrible time letting things go. It doesnā€™t matter if 100 people told me beautiful, incredible things... 1 bad thing could shove all the other out the window & thatā€™s what I focus my energy on. I hope that things get better for you. I donā€™t really have any advice, because I am struggling with the same thing now, but I wanted you to know youā€™re not alone in feeling this way. I do it every single day. I am here for you if you need me. Stay strong, honey. <3

Hi and welcome :) I know exactly and how you feel, I do that as well. Among other things, if someone looks at me in a certain way, doesnā€™t reply to a text, or says something critical even as a joke, I over analyze it and think they donā€™t like me or I said something wrong! Unfortunately, I donā€™t really have any good advice. I think therapy is supposed to help with this, so you could try that if you havenā€™t already. Maybe try to use logic when you have those thoughts and see f what worries you is really likely? You arenā€™t alone :) Hope you get better soon!

Boy can I relate to you! I think it's because we are very sensitive people. I'm learning to let it roll off my back, 29 years for me, hahaha, slow learner. I'm here for you. I wish for you peace of mind. Love, peace, light, joy & hugs!!!

Most times I find what my mind obsesses about ends up being wrong...so more experience with that realization will help...just my 2 cents.

Oh yes. Very successful in life and I stress about incident from relationship over 7 years ago. I think it goes to our "Control" issues. Ruminating years later about how to fix it.

Yes, you are not alone. I have found that if I bounce my thoughts off of my husband or my friends I find out it helps me let go of things sooner. Maybe this would help you?

Oh my gosh, absolutely yes!!!! I have things from years ago that I want to get over. I dwell on stuff too much. I want to let things go. I want to be that person. Youā€™re not alone.

I can relate, I know just how you feel, that joke, that whispered word, that odd look...I over think and it drives me nuts, no advice as I struggle with this also, but your not alone

I have the same problem; it started years ago. My ex husband warned me to stop being that way or it would cause me a problem; he did not realize I already was struggling with a problem that is why I was like that. But God forbid, then I unfortunately encountered someone who was trying to blackball me in my career and they were spreading malicious lies and it was a horrible experience for me, this person was relentless and hell bent on destroying my career, but I am just about over it now but it was terrible. I have learned to do what God says, cast down false imaginations and any high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. In other words if God is for you who can be against you, whether you imagine it or it is really happening, God is greater. You have to know what God says about you and replace those thoughts with what God says. It has taken me many years and a lot of headaches, tears, anger, sadness, and a whole range of emotions to get here, but I am here. Thanks be to God. I pray God take you through to the other side where you know who you are to Him and nothing else matters. Godā€™s blessings.
