Sleep anxiety

Does anyone else experience really bad sleep anxiety? It wakes me up multiple times through the night and in the morning my stomach is so upset. I’ve tried to meditate before bed as well as when it does wake me up but nothing seems to work. Any tips?

It sucks, but drugs, meditation, homeopathy never worked for me.

I took Xanax by the 4th day to knock me out for a few hours but now...no xanax.

I so wish I had an answer that actually works for both of us.

(I do take a blood pressure lowering med so I don't freak.

Could any of your medications be making your sleep anxiety worse ? My son had to stop a drug that made him crazy at night. Sleep is critical to your mental and physical health.. finding a way to sleep is very important. Exercise during the day might help.. really wear yourself out.. also cut out caffeine. Is sleep anxiety the same as Somniphobia or fear of sleep or something else ?

Alteril is a supplement that you can buy on amazon or in Walgreens(drugstore) it is pretty powerful. L-theanine is a derivative from green tea.. it might help relax you. I imagine you have tried L-tryptophane. Have you tried good old fashioned Benedryl ? You will have the Benedryl hangover but at least you will get rest.

Holy basil helps some people sleep.. but it gave me weird dreams..actually sad ones.. I would wake up crying.(I had to discontinue use) Everyone is different and it might help you.

I use an earthpulse pemf and I find that it helps me to stay asleep.. It also helps aches and pains.. It is kind of expensive though.. It does not help me to fall asleep just to stay asleep and on bad nights not much helps.

Keep trying with the meditation. I think mindfulness meditation takes a while to be good at. I love the Body Scan meditation here --- themindfulcenter.com/produc...

( I got the whole package themindfulcenter.com/produc... ) I love the stream meditation.. it is super relaxing.

Also try lavender oil in a aromatherapy device.. This is a good device

I hope you sleep better tonight.
