Feeling really wound up

Hello everyone. I’m having one of those really anxious days. I feel like a rubber band that’s ready to snap. Super tense. Samson

Samson, any particular reason for feeling so wound up? Whatever it may be, you've got to get yourself into the present moment. This moment in time is all that counts. Go to YouTube and listen to some Mindfulness Meditation along with Deep Breathing I

"Mindfulness 3 min Meditation" by the Honest Guys

I found an excellent video on YouTube this morning. 10 minutes long.

"Hypnosis for Stress Reduction & Relaxation" by hypnosistoronto.

Excellent. Find a quiet spot to call your own, sit back, close your eyes and

mellow out my friend. :) x

Samson, don't get discouraged if this didn't work. When I am wound up like a top, it's not always very easy to come down from that point. Short of popping a pill for

a quick fix, know that doing meditation takes time and practice. The idea is to be so well trained that you will automatically go into relax mode.

On that hypnosis tape, I hope you got to watch it to the end where he puts a

suggestion into your mind regarding "water". It's not hogwash believe me. When

I use to go for hypnotherapy years ago, the therapist put into my mind that every time I would hear the numbers 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2, 1 I would go into relax mode

To this day 6 years later, if I hear it on tv, in an elevator going down, watching the

last 10 seconds of the microwave, I am put into a tranquil state.

Take this evening in finding some other things that may refocus your mind. We all

have days, weeks that seem unbearable, know that this too shall pass.

Thank you for your help and compassion. I did meditate for almost 10 minutes. I used binaural frequencies, but I finally had to take a Xanax. I’ve taken two and a half of the 0.5s today. I really don’t like to turn to them but sometimes I must. I’m going to try the hypnosis tape later on tonight if not definitely tomorrow. And I know I need to totally eliminate caffeine. Thanks again. Samson.

Samson, don't beat yourself up about having to turn to medication. We all need that extra help at times. It's okay. I hope you get some rest tonight. Tomorrow

Have you tried meditation? I have a 15-minute meditation on DVD that I do every morning after my coffee. The instructor is Alan Finger. I think it's helping.
