I've been having so many of them lately. I went from rarely having them to having one almost one everyday. This really scares me. I don't know what to do. I try to do meditation and focus on my breathing, but it doesn't work.
I feel like I'm losing against my anxiety now. I want to feel happy, even just content, again.

Hi bibimbap, We never really get use to having an anxiety attack and especially when you haven't had one for a while. The feeling is so intense that the memory of former times comes back two fold and it scares you. Meditation and deep breathing can help immensely in gaining control over anxiety however, unless you "Accept" that anxiety is not harmful and comes from a thought and nothing more, the fear will escalate. Once that happens you begin to experience "fear of fear" and the cycle has once begun again.
One of the best books out there is Dr Claire Weekes book on "Hope & Help for your Nerves" (You can see it on YouTube as well) It doesn't hurt to do a little refresher course. Stay Positive and you will gain control of your life once more. xx
are you currently experiencing any new stressors in your life that may have triggered this wave of panic?
I really like to write down my thoughts when I have an anxiety attack because I tend to think in circles when I’m having an attack and writing things down helps to slow my mind down and stop the downward spiral a little bit. Also, I think it’s interesting to read those thoughts back later to see if there is anything I can do to stop attacks in the future.
