Is there anyone out there who lives alone and deals with anxiety and depression? Please share. It's not easy. I'm living alone right now and trying to cope as best I can: meditation, positive affirmations, prayer.

Dealing with it Alone?
My hubby is a truck driver , usually home for only 24 hours a week, so I'm pretty much alone. I try to be positive, very difficult some days, like today! Keeping busy helps also!!! I wish you all the best!!! A big hug & love for you!!!
Thanks. How do you keep busy? Yesterday I took a yoga class - just something to get me out of my head. Today I plan to go home and do some overdue chores. I also want to do some meditation and write in my journal. Sometimes I think I'm over-reacting to my anxiety with all this meditation, prayer, etc. I don't know.
I love to clean!!! Freaky I know, been that way my whole life! Yard work is also very helpful! I love to also listen to music & dance, even though I can't! Crafting. knitting, reading also!!!
Like cleaning? Can you come to my house to clean? 😊
Sure!!!!! Hahahaha!!!
Hi arcenciel Yes! I don’t t live alone just yet but I do deal with anxiety and depression alone, besides my therapist. It’s a hassle at times because you just want one person to understand but just like you I try to remain positive and I pray often but not enough. But I have yet to try meditation, I self medicate when it becomes too much.
Halo there, I don’t live alone. I’m a single mum and I have a 9 yo Daughter. But I’m also dealing with anxiety and depression. For me, it’s exercise and read or doing household chores. I find doing all that are very therapeutic. Or if you like, you can consider doing occasional dinners at your place for your local community. SOmetimes reaching out to others help us cope. Hope this helps. Praying for you. God bless!
Thanks very much. The reason I'm alone now is that my spouse and I are getting divorced, so I'm alone in the house. In the meantime, I've been switching anti-depressant medications, and it's been a roller-coaster ride. Either way, it wasn't as if I was much better off having him there while dealing with these issues. In a way, I felt more alone, come to think of it.
i See... thanks for sharing. Divorce is one of the hardest thing. I remembered I was depressed when I was going through divorce too. The only consolation was my Daughter was still quite little so she didn’t remember much of the shouting and silent treatment. Are you talking to a counsellor or a therapist?? SOmetimes might be good to talk to a neutral party, a professional to gain a more learned perspective. I hope this helps! Keeping you in my prayer. God bless u!
