It has been a while since I have gone out to a club due to the fact that I stopped occasionally drinking. Tonight I went to a club for my cousin’s birthday and I had to cut my night short . I was dancing and before I knew it my heart started racing and I began to panic. This never used to happen to me. What is going on?!!!

Well you can't expect god to want to go dancing too! Better stick to prayer meetings in future. x
Not medicating yourself with alcohol may have something to do with it, but drinking is not an answer.
An important thing to do now is to not create a negative belief based on this experience. Accept that you felt anxious and don’t make judgments. I would try to go to the club again and monitor my self talk to find out what is bothering me. It is okay to not like crowds or loud places. Maybe you never actually liked the club scene before and you just found it out. I would find a perspective on the situation that serves me best.
Exercise brings up the heartbeat and breathing increases, for those of us with anxiety disorder this can trigger a panic attack.
It's natural for your heart to go faster if you do physical stuff, maybe you noticed it more this time because you hadnt been drinking.
Anxiety attacks can come out of no where for no reason. The best thing to do is go out dancing again so you don’t think of the club as an anxiety provoking activity. Anxiety sucks for a lot of reasons but when it comes out of no where it makes you believe it’s something more sinister then it is.
Clubs are loud and bright. Since it’s been awhile since you been in one I would guess it was a sensory overload for you.
