Hey all, Brian here! Well, the biopsy was this past Thursday and it went ok (if any surgery can be considered ok lol). They removed a piece of the mass to send to pathology to find out exactly what it is. The doctor who's doing the surgery hadn't looked at my CT scan prior to surgery (which struck me as kind of odd) but when she did look at it, she didn't see anything else out of place. It was same day surgery, so I was in at 10 (local time) and out by 2 (again, local time lol) Now, all that's left is to wait to get the results back. Unfortunately, for all of my overseas friends on here, this weekend is Memorial Day weekend here in the States, so most things are closed through Monday. My next appointment with the doctor is on Tuesday at 8:30 AM (local time). I may or may not find out the results then, but at least it's a start. That's the hard part of this whole thing: the waiting lol. Pins and needles, I'm telling ya lol. Once the next appointment has come and gone, I'll tell you guys what's next, if they know what's next at that point lol. I want to thank those who have sent their best wishes during this time. I really, REALLY appreciate it. If I can get through this, then depression and anxiety are a piece of cake! In life, when it comes to depression and anxiety, there really are only two roads you can go down. You can either give up and let them win.....or you can fight back and reclaim your life as your own.
I choose to fight! What will you do?
Your friend,
Brian

Brian you are a shining star for all of us. Your journey shows us all what grace is. Sometimes the body shows us things, maybe things we’ve hidden from, and walls them off as a mass. It’s something unresolved perhaps, that is now ready to be removed. What was once unseen and unknown has come into the LIGHT. Just as you have here, as we all have here, come forward with our pain, and taken away it’s power! This health crisis is a Phoenix. The old Brian is gone in a sense. The one who lived in fear. You chose love over fear. And you laid out your beautiful soul here for us. You, who thought you’d always be hidden, have emerged a Phoenix from the flames! Go boldly into this healing journey because you already know how: open-hearted, trusting, surrounded by angels. Right now, wherever you are, invisible angels surround you.
Thanks Lisa! I really appreciate the kind words and your friendship Depression and anxiety have knocked me down for so long. I'm not letting this beat me down. I'm gonna fight this! And I would like everyone to take from my courage and fight your depression and anxiety. If I can fight this, then depression and anxiety are a cake walk lol
Brian, it's interesting when something more serious happens to us, it makes me wonder as well why I made Anxiety the center focus of my life. Anyone strong enough to deal with anxiety has what is needed to take on another challenge. We've learned a lot from our anxiety and carry with us tools to make it through life no matter what we are struggling with.
Good Luck with the results on Tuesday. Stay positive. One step at a time and breathe my friend
Thanks b1! Actually, I've got a few things lined up to keep me occupied. Playing my favorite game, World of Warships (shameless plug below lol), gonna listen to or watch some baseball, watch lots of Bugs Bunny , and just relax
worldofwarships.com (for anyone who's interested. My in-game handle is bridder01 if you'd like to try and sink me )
I love military stuff (especially WW2) but I don't do gaming because when I do, I feel like I should be doing something else like cleaning my house. It is weird though because I can play my guitar for hours or watch complete baseball and hockey games but not feel that way.
Yeah, World of Warships is based on historical naval vessels and you fight on teams. The ships range from turn of the 20th Century to roughly the Korean War era. I've been playing since November, 2015 and I absolutely love it!
I used to play real time strategy games. Like Panzer general and allied general. I was also into a tank simulator called steel beasts. I don’t play many video games any more. My favorite system of all time was the Atari 7800. So many memories of playing the old arcade games on it with my brother. I remember on game was called Larry bird vs Dr. J. It was a one on one basketball game. The graphics were crap but I don’t like the modern video games my nephew plays. They are to realistic. You don’t use your imagination anymore when you play them.
