I am taking some antidepressant medicines along with 0.5mg Alprozolam at night.
But by 12 noon afterwards my anxiety level is more and i am taking 0.25 Alprozilam everyday by 12 afternoon for the last one week. My anxiety level is good. perday i am taking .75mg of alprozolam. It will give any side effects after six or seven months? anyone using more than 1mg of Alprozalam?
Hi RAME1965, Alprozolam also known as Xanax is a potent, short term antianxiety medication. It needs to be monitored by your doctor. The reason being that your body gets use to the dose very easily and it will take more and more to keep you stable. The antidepressant meds should eventually help with your anxiety along with therapy and finding other methods to lower your fear and stress.
The answer isn't completely in the pill. Please talk with your doctor, he may increase the dose of your antidepressant rather than have you continually increase the Xanax. Good Luck x
As the antidepressants start working,you will feel less need of alprazolam
That wasn't the case with me; everyone's chemistry is so different. Agora1 offers good advice and info. And I have a small brain injury due to an accident, so the meds may work differently for you. And your dose does not appear high, so don't worry about that. Just don't increase, decrease or stop your current meds and dose level; let your MD do that.
