Wellbutrin allergy

I was recently prescribed Wellbutrin 300mg daily and it was working wonders! First time in my life I was feeling almost normal! We'll after about a month I started breaking out in hives and it was determined it was caused by the wellbutrin. So my Dr. Made me stop taking it. Has anyone else had a similar experience? That was my "wonder" drug. Nothing else has worked as good

Yes, I tried Wellbutrin years ago and I also broke out in hives. I can't remember if it made a difference for my mood, I just know I can no longer have that medication. Finding the right meds can be so difficult. I have a huge list of meds that have been tried and the side effects caused me to have to go off. Right now I am on several drugs and for the most part it helps. I have a new doctor and he doesn't want to mess with anything if things are going okay.

There others to try. Wellbutrin can also cause seizures in some people. This is minimized in the package description, however it did happen to a relative of mine. Talk to your psychiatrist about other drugs.

Been on wellbuterin for about a year now...had my first seizure and wonderin it was the meds??

Got MRI and ddnt find anything

No....I never did have a reaction when I took it....but I think Wellbutrin is a very different antidepressant chemically removed from most of the others...It's really a shame when something works and now you have to change from it. Is there any kind of an anti-allergy med you could take with it to subside the reaction. I'm allergic to bees, and love to garden...but the little feckers will kill me if I get stung...so...I have an Epipen at hand just for the occasion...it's happened....but the poor little bee lost his life doing it, so I feel bad for it too. I really hope you find something that works as well for you, it's a pain.

I was on that for 3 days and had a massive allergic reaction to it
