I'm in my 30s, mom of 2 (their dad/my ex-husband hasn't seem them in over 2 years) but the last 3 years I've been dating someone who is currently deployed so the house is full of dogs and kids but no real support at the moment. My work is very stressful and recently it's just gotten overwhelming - the anxiety and stress has manifested as physical symptoms (shortness of breath, flushing/hives, fatigue/exhaustion) and I'm basically here because I'm desperate to get this back under control...looking for support I guess, shared stories, tips, motivation, coping skills. Anything that helps me get back to being me and wanting to run around and play at the park with my kids and dogs...
(I have started celexa but so far I'm not back to normal...I honestly feel really defeated)

welcome and glad your sharing. You might want to start reading others posts too, you can learn a lot and be able to relate to others and what they are going through. It takes a few weeks or more for celexia or any antidepressant to really kick in. There's no big 'AH HA!' moment when the meds do start working, you just notice your not quite as sad or down, and even when you do have bad days, they don't last as long usually.
I know we need to start making friends but I'm gone for work 7am-6pm 5 days a week, weekends I spend with my kids taking them to sports and other activities...it's really hard to get any time to volunteer or do anything and unless I pay for a sitter (I'd looked into volunteering but no kids under 12 were allowed with the program I inquired about) so it makes it tricky. I really don't have the $ to spend on a sitter just to volunteer somewhere. But I also know making friends would help so I am torn.
