Buspirone and dry throat?

I just started Buspirone for anxiety. 10mg three times a day. I can already feel the effects of it, but I've also noticed that my throat is dry and overnight it hurts. I'm positive I'm not getting sick again. Anyone else on this?

Hello, Yes I am on BuSpar 15 mg twice daily. Sorry to say as with all med's it has side effects, I wake up in night with dry mouth and throat, and in AM

with a frog voice. Not too happy about all the side effects, but it is helping with the anxiety. I have been on it a few months now.

I would like to say to you and anyone reading my reply: I will not put pills in my mouth without reading about the possible side effects, and if I do not really like them I discuss them with my Dr./Pharmacist. and have refused prescriptions in the past, as having been young and ignorant took pills that made me ill & suicidal. I have two prescription drug books, and I go on line. I do not read this info. thinking this is going to happen to me, but some may, anything that sounds drastic (i.e. unable to urinate - dizzy, blurred vision, suicidal ideation) they are big red flags to me.

Once again, anyone taking new prescriptions - CHECK IT OUT BEFORE YOU SWALLOW IT - we are responsible for our body's and Dr's bury their mistakes.

Not to sound negative, but 90,000 people a year die in the US due to medical incompetence.

Hopefully your side effects will be minimal and wear off soon. I wish You well and to be anxiety free. Sending best wishes and love. Sprinkle 1

I've been on 7.5mg twice a day for a year and it has been a Godsend to me. The only negative side affect was dizziness for the first week or so, but after that it's been smooth sailing. I do find when I take an antihistamine at night my throat is drier than it normally would be with just an antihistamine.

Yeah I'm not so much dizzy. Kinda get those brain zaps and the kinda out of it feeling. A little jittery too. Don't know if that's normal. I feel it kinda working so I guess that's good. I'll give it more time because I've only been on it a few days.
