Gabapentin

Has anyone taken gabapentin? If so please do not stop taking or don't run out. I ran out and I was miserable borderline suicidal I went to doctor and said it was withdrawal from gabapentin. If I knew that I would have never started it. Let me know your thoughts.

Yikes! I've taken it but only lightly. Didn't realize about any withdrawal effects. In general I wean slowly off any med of there can be withdrawal.

I didn't know they prescribed it for depression or anxiety. I took it for what they thought was nerve pain. It's some pretty crazy stuff.

Yes it is very dangerous I had a friend who attempted suicide after stopping gabapentin....I'm at a loss I feel I'm losing myself

I did he just said don't run out of gabapentin:/ so I'm gonna lower the dosage myself God forbid I don't have it one day and do something crazy. I do feel a lil better after getting back on it and ty so much for your help

I took Gabapentin a while for pain at 600 mg 4 times a day when I stop I don't remember having any issues with it.

Gabapentin worked on my anxiety when other meds stopped working. I was able to stop taking benzodiazepines for the first time in 20 years. For me it has been darn close to a miracle in the battle against my anxiety.
