Gaining weight/sad

Hi, I'm a 53 yo female. My Remeron was upped from 15mg to 30mg. I also take Risperidone at a low dose. I'm suddenly experiencing really sore breasts and weight gain. I go to the gym everyday, but I'm getting bigger and bloated. Has anyone else experienced this? Now I'm even more depressed.

I was in risperidone for a year and gained alot of weight! My breast leaked all the time! Everyone is different though that was just my experience

Oh. So maybe it's the risperidone. I think I can stop it without any problems. I'll contact my doc.

Weight gain is also a listed side effect of Remeron.

Hi, I don't know how to update, but it's me, User1964. Thankfully I am now taking 10mg Lexapro. That Remeron was horrible (for me) I know it's only been a few days but I am hopeful now because I'm taking a med that I've taken before with no awful side effects. My doctor said that Remeron and Risperidone can wreak havoc with the endocrine system (why did he up my dose?) Anyhow, I mentally feel better.
