I'll be out driving around with friends or something and all of a sudden I feel like I can't breathe properly. I can't seem to talk and figure out how to breathe at the same time and feels like I'm not getting in enough air even if I take breaths through my nose and out through my mouth. Therefore I just sit there quietly while on the outside I look fine but on the inside I think I'm about to die since it feels like I don't know how to breathe. In turn it makes me panicky and anxious and want to go home.
Does anyone else get this weird sensation due to what I assume is anxiety?
PS. Having a chronic stuffy nose/asthma that's worst in the winter doesn't make this sensation any easier to deal with!

I too have asthma and allergies. I find myself having shallow breathing also. I’ve found a Mindfulness app to be helpful in learning to control breathing by doing breathing exercises. When you breathe through your nose, visualize and make sure your tummy is rising and not your chest.
I totally understand, I have asthma and bad anxiety too. I even have physical symptoms, my stomach hurts and I get a headache.I always try to breathe in through and my nose and out through my mouth. Helps sometimes 😅
