Need some adive.the doctor gave me venlafaxine could anyone tell me if its any good im on mitazapine 45mg already but scared to take both thanks

I was on venlafaxine for years. Still taking 37.5 mg. along with my Paxil. Venlafaxine is good for anxiety & depression because it works on 2 areas of the brain. You can google it to get more details. I tolerated it well, but the doctor didn't think it was working anymore, so I'm doing a slow switch to Paxil. I don't like changing medications, but this has been a fairly smooth transition

I am taking 100 mg of Venlafaxine now. My biggest complaint is jaw pain and teeth clenching. Also, since the medication only comes in 25, 50 and 100 mg tablets, tapering on or off can be a problem. Everyone's experience of a medication is different, however. I suspect that the only way to know if a medicine will work for you is to try it. I know that's not much help. I wish you the very best.
