Mirtazipine

My last experience with antidepressants (sertraline) made me very hesitant to try another. Sertraline didn’t work for me and made me worse.

Today I decided to give them another ago, I have been put on Mirtazipine 15mg. Has anyone taken this?

Hi did you try the sertraline for at least a couple of months? It can take this long to get fully into your system and until then you can feel worse. I am on these and they work well for me.

I had to try 2 others before I found sertraline and one of them was mirtazapine. I found this made me sleepy and a bit spaced out. I now use just a very small dose to help me sleep.

We are all different though so what works well for some won't for others and vice versa. I hope the mirtazapine help you. x

Yeah, I took them for about 3 months. I’m so glad it’s working well with you. X

Never taken that one but sertraline OMG I had muscles so tense felt like I had full body workouts and they hurt bad, jaw wanted to lock and it made my anxiety go through the roof thinking about stopping all my meds to do cbt instead

I stopped taking it after being on it for 3 months and I said I didn’t want to try any other medication and try CBT, it’s taking so long to get referred that I’m getting worse so I thought I’d give meds another go. How long have you been taking it?
