I've been on Mirtazipine before and yes a side affect is dizziness and feeling light headed. It can pass with some people other people need another drug.
thanks for replying I didn't take to citralopram so trying this
Sleeping better but it's only day 4
I would say if it continues over a week go back to the doctor. It can take a long time to get the right combination of meds. I'm on quite a lot of meds and although they do help they are not the complete answer. Although this weekend I am very low and down I have found therapy (DBT) very helpful.
I have an apt with a clinical psychologist but it's such a waiting game and you feel desperate for help
Can you enlighten me a little about your experience with DBT?
Thanks
Of course. I have a group session and a one to one with a therapist each week. It focuses on personality disorders in particular, but also depression and PTSD. Your work in four modules, Distress Tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, mindfulness, and emotional regulation.
It has helped me a lot. When I'm in high distress I use my distress tolerance skills and with my social anxiety and personality disorders emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness is great.
It's a year long course and you go through each compartment twice except for mindfulness which you do after each module. I am in dorset and we have to be under a cmht to be eligible for dbt. I do not know if this is the same with all areas of the uk. And I'm unsure about the us.
But it really does help if you put the effort in. Theres lots of information online. And apps on dbt.
