Any coping mechanisms for someone who suffers from anxiety and panic attacks? I’ve suffered with this all of my life and finally figured out what it was. I’m still learning ways to cope and manage but just want to hear other ways that could be helpful

For me, it always depends on the symptoms I’m experiencing. Sometimes a great way to overcome anxiety is to overcome the symptoms with a good, deep workout. Other times, that’s the opposite of what I need. Deep breathing is a textbook way to cope as well, and probably a good one regardless of the symptom. I personally breathe in for 10 seconds through my nose, and exhale slowly through my mouth. Other times, going for a walk, or simply removing myself from a place I associate with stress, anxiety, or a panic attack works. Also, sometimes watching my favorite tv show can simply take my mind in a positive direction. Finally, I don’t know why but lying half on and half off my bed or couch really helps ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Bottom line, there are lots of ways, but always find something that speaks to the symptoms you’re experience. Also, in general know you can and do get better!
