Hi :)
Welcome gccmejia to the forum. There are many options out there to reduce anxiety. I don't know if that is something you are experiencing with the tiredness and sadness which sounds more like depression. I believe in the Mind/Body connection, what we think is how we feel. I personally use meditation and deep breathing daily, multiple times a day. Upon awakening, mid afternoon, and before sleep. I use positive reinforcement in facing the stressful situations life hands me. Everyone responds differently to the methods and techniques used. Finding a solution to how you are feeling needs to be addressed by knowing what is causing these feelings. Once you are aware of the triggers, you either work on changing the situation or work on how you react to something that cannot be changed. We are here to support you through this You are never alone. Stay Positive x
Hi!! Thank you very much for your answer. On one hand, I am also practicing meditation. However, I don't know if it is helping me because either I fall asleep nor I cant stay focus at all. On the other hand, what do you mean by positive reinforcement?
I'm glad to hear you are practicing meditation. When you can't stay focused, bring yourself back to the moment as many times as you need to. Really concentrating on what the tape, CD, video, is saying to you. I use YouTube. I find it easier to having someone direct me through relaxation, imagery and visualization. No matter how many times I listen to it, there is always something new that I hear from time to time. If you should fall asleep while listening to meditation, know that your subconscious is picking up on the directions given.
As for positive reinforcement that is something I use when I take that impossible step forward. Being fearful of something but going ahead with it. A positive over coming a negative thought. The more we give ourselves a "high five" "attta boy" etc gives us a feeling of accomplishment and in turn gives us a high feeling.
Positive reinforcement is also used with children in encouraging them to do better through praise and recognition that anything good or positive does not go unrecognized.
Deep Breathing is very important part of daily practice. If done correctly, it is impossible to be anxious and to be deep breathing at the same time. The deep breathing is with you all the time, no one would even notice that you are using that method to reduce your stress and keep adrenaline at it's lowest level. It comes so automatically to me know that whether I am typing, driving, shopping, cooking etc my slow deep breathes are working to keep the mind/body connection balanced.
I hope you are able to find what suits you best. There is no right or wrong method, it's whatever your mind and body respond to. We're here if you need us. Always just a message away. xx
Thank you very much for your answer. Could you please share the names of the youtube channels that you use for meditation? Moreover, I usually listen to music as a strategy or method to face stressful situations however lately It doesn't work. For example, today I wanted to go to the gym but I couldn't because I felt really scared and tired. Do you think that positive reinforcement or deep breathing could be helpful in this situation?
I'd be happy to gccmejia
