I ended up getting fired from my job because I kept calling off due to my anxiety. On the plus side I was able to get in to see my therapist sooner. I also saw my psychiatrist today. He added a new med and is referring me to try IOP (intensive outpatient treatment). I'm also going to start going to a local anxiety/depression support group next week. They meet every other week for 1 hour. My question is have any of you done IOP? I was told that it's 2-3 times a week usually for 3 hrs a day. Is it just group therapy or is there more to it than that? At this point I'm willing to try anything. Just trying to alleviate some anxiety by finding out what to expect with the IOP.
