Drug addiction

COMING FROM SOMEONE WHO HAD TO DEAL WITH SOMEONE WITH ADDICTION. Well maybe it isnt a disease but lets say you started a certain anti-depressant or some kind of medication for a mental illness you have and you are dependent on it. That could be considered drug addiction but you cant help it. Your body and mind needs it. Some people have different ways of coping with mental illnesses. No im not saying doing meth or cocaine or any of that is ok, BUT that is some peoples way of coping and it just becomes a habit that is hard to break. Just like my way of coping with anxiety is by biting my fingernails, cuticles, and skin around my nails. Its not something i can control. I’ve tried stopping but its SUPER hard. You need help and support from others around you to get out of it before it gets too bad. If you dont WANT to get better then that’s your choice, but for those who realize they’ve done wrong or neglected family or friends due to their addiction and dont want to stop then that drug has literally taken over there life. Yes you choose to start it but a lot of the times people want to do it temporarily and dont realize it’s going to become something your body and mind needs. Its hard. Especially for the people around them. But something in their life, maybe even family or friend problems leads people to do these things and thats what people dont understand. If we’re all compassionate to others and stop it before it starts, whether is be drug addiction or a bad habit or maybe even suicide.... then it would never happen to begin with.

I understand to a degree what you are saying, how ever you need to clean up your language, it's not needed to get your point across!

My language? The screenshot didnt come from something i said. The screenshot came from what someone else said and i was addressing the issue with their post

I have to agree with you anxiety. Even if the screenshot did come from someone else it shouldn't have been put up if it transgressed the not using offensive language rules on the site.
