Sleep disturbances are a normal part of depression. Sometimes my body won’t shut down at night and I don’t get hardly any sleep. And then there’s times when I go to bed early and I can still sleep 10 to 12 hours. It doesn’t make any sense, but I guess it’s normal.
Apparently it’s important to have consistent wake up and sleep times no matter what, even if it’s not what your body wants to do. It’s really hard though because life is crazy and inconsistent.
i have normal sleep times , i get up at 5 am and go to bed around 7:30-8 everyday during the week due to work

Up until a week or so ago, you were having difficulting relaxing, now you're "relaxing" too much. Hummmm. It may be depression.
Has the issue been resolved as to whether or not you are in an early pregnancy that you were concerned about in your post a few days ago?
Did your doctor tell you sleeping this much was "normal" because you are expecting a baby? I know you were sad about gaining too much weight and wanted to participate in the Ms Ohio competition in fall of 2008....maybe that is caused by the pregnancy you thought you had recently posted.
Your sleeping so much may actually be related to depression if none of the above applies.
i’ve tried 3 preg tests and they say negative so i’m not sure if early pregnancy has anything to do with me being tired so much and thirsty all the time and always hot like hot flashes and stuff
I had mono and never thought it was that either because I didn’t have a sore throat and what not. But I was sleeping nonstop. Just have them do blood work to check all your functions...liver, kidney, check for pregnancy, check for mono, etc
I feel like I need that much sleep. Every now and then I luck out and go on a sleep binge so to speak and sleep practically solid for 2 days but for the most part I don’t sleep too much. Maybe average. Slightly less but I’m exhausted. I feel like I’m always exhausted like lifting my arm would just be too much. I just figured it was depression and anxiety. My doctor just called to tell me I’m anemic. That causes tired feelings but I don’t think that’s the only thing causing it. 3 months ago I was exhausted but blood was okay. I lean towards anxiety or depression. You may want to discuss it with your doctor but like “hear you” I feel like anxiety may be rearing it’s ugly head. Every time mine starts I have newer symptoms. It’s awful but we’re hear for you. You may need to focus more on finding coping skills and recognizing triggers as well as learning relaxation techniques. Best of luck. Personally I
enjoy my sleep binges but I can understand how every weekend could be a little much. Hope you find some answers. A good checkup and blood work would also be a good idea.
its hard to have a consistent sleep pattern if you are anxious/dep, its my biggest worry,apart from not getting things done lol
