Can't sleep.....

I've been trying to fall asleep since 10 PM and I still can not. I feel like my nerves are on over load and my chest on fire. What does one do to feel better. I'm so sleepy.

I’m sorry you feel this way dear. Sip on some peppermint tea. I find herbal teas help to calm me particularly the chamomile tea. Hope you feel better. I know about that nerves thing. I have that problem too. Sometimes I’m ok and sometimes it attacks me making me feel helpless and miserable. I guess it helps to talk to people who experience it too because mostly they would understand what you going through. Unlike some others who judge you and think their life is so much better. I’m always here for you when you need to talk. 💙

Thank you. I know it does help to talk to people that have it too. Thank you. And I had finally got some sleep but now I'm wide awake again. This anxiety sucks.

i tried listening to relaxing music on headphones last night and it really worked. i have small kids who wake up at night and i cant get back to sleep. i fell asleep alot faster with the music in my ear instead of just in the room. if you have amazon prime you can stream the sleep music they have. sometimes i put on a meditation from the calm app and that puts me to sleep in a few minutes.

I tried sleeping with ear phones on but I end up taking them out. I do listen to soothing music but loud. My kids like it too.

Aughh, I hate when that happens. I first tried really relaxing things like a nice hot shower to relax me, a nice bedtime ritual and going to bed at the same time every night, writing in a notepad of my worries and then in the morning read them and try to work on them, but in the end I had to talk to my Dr and she put me on a Trazadone for about 6 months and that restored my sleep. I slowly tapered off and am able to sleep on my own.

I was on trazodone, omg the worst med for me. It made my legs weak everyday I was falling down my stairs. Finally my cardiologist told me to get off of all my meds. I did it and I still feel bad but I've stopped falling.
