Panic attacks

I'm 62,recently divorced & recently had knee replacement. I initiated the divorce last Nov., but he didn't move out until late May. I had my replacement in July. I recently found out that my ex got a girlfriend in June. During this time he has taken advantage of things like my Amazon account, his cell phone, he even tried to keep our car insurance connected to get a better deal, I should hate him & sometimes I do, but mostly I'm lonely, depressed & started having panic attacks. I hate feeling out of control & weak. I'm hurt, feeling like he never loved me, just let me support him financially. I was a fool. How can I still miss him. Why do I still hurt over losing his love. I try all the tricks, but it's not working. Sorry this is so long !

Love makes fools of us all at one point or another! I hope your knee replacement works out for you and you're able to physically feel better. I know how hard it is to end a relationship and completely cut ties but it seems like your ex is taking advantage of you. You are stronger than you think and it's time to focus on giving back to yourself. Join a club in your area! Meet new people who share similar interests and try to focus on people who make your life happier.

Well hello to another boomer! We come from a generation that has seen a lot of change, and now our chickens have "come home to roost." You sound like a real trouper- and people do not automatically just turn off feelings. I am sorry that your ex took advantage of your good nature. I wish you continued success with your knee replacement! I also hope that besides here you will continue to climb or just settle in with life. Sometimes settling in it seems is what life is about as we age. I also know what it is like to have age related issues, vision, anxiety/depression about some issues- now I know what my late parents were talking about.
