GAD - see a doctor soon

I have been diagnosed with GAD for 5 years now and the last 4 years I have been retired. As you know, over-the-top worrying and anxiety drain you to the point of making you so tired that you just want to escape from everything and everyone and be alone. For instance, retirement didn't solve my anxiety, it's still there. I am being treated with lexapro which works for me enough to make my world calmer and safer for everyone around me. I believe that untreated GAD is very dangerous to those who have it, their loved ones and everyone on the highway. I have found that staying productive and interested in life helps to keep you sane and in the moment. The KEY is to stay in the moment! I take YOGA (with 10 other women, I'm the only guy) and I love the attention to feeling the moment and taking care of yourself. Don't spend time feeling bad about yourself, see a doctor soon. Take care of yourself. These are the tools that I have learned the last 4 years. By the way, I don't have answers for you, you have to do it. Oh, and like many of us, I inherited this from my MOM, who on any event coming up had to go their a day before to scope out the travel and situation before she went there. She was very prepared for everything.
