I’m feeling really stressed and depressed lately. I’m yelling a lot at my kids and can’t seem to calm down. I don’t remember the last time I took my meds. It’s not that I don’t want to take them. I just forget to. I’ve tried alarms and reminder apps, but they don’t work, I still forget. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can remember to take my meds?
Leaving them where I can see them isn’t an option since I live with my mum and share a room with my kids and have already had DCS (department of child safety) called on my family with a complaint about meds being out in the open and my youngest trying to open them (which he doesn’t).

I am sorry you are having a tough go. As for the meds....what do you do EVERYDAY at the same time EVERYDAY? Anything? Even going to the loo? Smoking a cigarett? Anything??? If the answer is yes, perhaps timing your meds with that activity would be a start!
My mum needs me to remind her to take her meds. Lol
Thank you for the advice. I never thought of doing that before. I’ll either put a post it note or get a dry erase marker and write it on the mirror in the loo and on the fridge. Because I can guarantee my first move will either move to get a glass of water or to go to the bathroom.
I had an issue of my mother forgetting to take my clothes to the dry cleaners so I took a stack of posted notes and covered the entire house in them for her to remember
She was still finding them two weeks later
Is there someone that can call you to remind you and not hang up till you do?
I have four kids and going through the crap I'm going through, their emotional well-being has been affected big-time.
So I have reminders for my meds on my phone in my closet and on the mirror.
My kids will hear my phone go off and they will remind me to take them until I do
I unfortunately don’t have anyone that can call and remind me. I may add, sticking post it notes on the closet door and the inside of the bedroom door.
If I see them enough it’ll be hard to forget (hopefully). And hopefully it will become an ingrained and automatic action in time so I don’t have to go through the withdrawal and other not so fun side effects of missing my meds.
Thank you so much. So far they’re working pretty well for my morning meds. I’ve been lucky that last night I didn’t need my insomnia medicine. I fell asleep as soon as my head His the pillow.
