I've been battling anxiety since I was a kid. Finally in my mid 20's I got diagnosed with general anxiety disorder and was put on Paxil I've been doing great ever since even thought about going off it.
But a few day ago my mom had a case of transient global amnesia and now I can't stop worrying it going to happen again even though it's rare to reoccur but I had a panick attack and now all my anxious feelings are back. I feel like the Paxil stopped working. Hoping to see the doctor tomorrow has anyone had this? A traumatic event happens and feel like you did before taking the med?
I can't relate to the meds part but yea sometimes when im doing good and i get triggered especially from something related to my past my anxiety get worse and its like im back to square one

Thank you nice to hear I'm not alone in that feeling
Hi I have learned that anxiety comes from the way you think it's hard but it's takes time for instance look at it from a postive perspective my mom caught this but it doesn't mean I will I know God will protect me you can do mediation yoga journaling it helps. I have been on the paxil for two months it helps but not fully I still have to put in the work like exercise and mediation. I feel all the doctors going to do is change your medicine or up the dose
Thank you for the reply your right the Paxil had worked so I never did any of the work leaving myself unprepared when something happens. She did prescribe me lorazepam only a few though and an app with breathing exercises and I will be starting counselling. One day at a time 😊
I am glad to know I am not the only one out there that was diagnosed with general anxiety disorder during my mid 20s. (Recently) I am now 26 and I feel like sometimes everything is great and then something triggers it all back. I know the feeling and it feels like starting all over.
