Recently I have been exploring new methods to help me calm down. I have tried acupuncture, massage therapy, and yoga. I really feel as though they help me get through the day. I've noticed, a lot of the time, if I get the blood flowing, I have a much better day. My acupuncturist is very knowledgeable, and puts a lot of emphasis on how much the heart is affected by anxiety. It clicked because when your heart races, you are stressing your circulatory system. If you have bad panic attacks like me, you may even feel like you're losing your hearing and eyesight. I recently bought a heart chakra (rose quartz) healing stone necklace to be more aware of my heart and how I am feeling. Exercise is not only good for you physically, but also mentally, so I really recommend that you try these "out there" remedies for anxiety, especially because massage gets blood flowing to different muscles, and acupuncture helps with tenderness in the different areas of the body. Yoga, of course, is exercise, and keeps you moving. Luckily, all three of these remedies increase circulation. If you have some spare time, make a Google search and check it out for yourself!
