Yes!! I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one! I'm sorry I don't have answers for you, however... I'm in the dark. I have had depression for 5 years, and anxiety/panic disorder for 2. I'm currently 20 years old and taking escitalopram for anxiety. These jerks often happen to me only when I'm sitting or laying down, or trying to fall asleep. Sometimes they are so severe that I jerk myself awake before I'm fully asleep. Sometimes it feels as if my chest jerks and leads my body along with it, and other times my knees and calves will twitch.

How does escitalopram work with your anxiety. I tried it a couple of years ago and it made me extremely anxious.

It's been working well for me so far. I've been on it for around 6 to 7 months now, and while i still have flare ups often, I only have panic attacks rarely (once or twice a month) , or in very high stress situations (i.e firework shows or concerts or tornado/flood warnings in my case). It does have some side effects, such as low libido and difficulty performing sexually.

I have in the past where I was taking high dose of clomipramine for OCD. I am on much lower dose and no longer have them.

Meditation and just ignore them. Eventually they will become less intense.

have you sought any other help for it?

Yes, pray to Jesus. It will go away but slowly.
