I think my friend may have depression, but I'm not sure how to tell her my thoughts. She's very stressed and overwhelmed right now. I really want to help her, but I don't know what to do or what to say.

I think you reaching out to her about it can't be a bad thing. I have been holding it in for awhile and just started telling my friends. None of them even knew. I actually lost a lot of friends because I got so anti social and didn't talk about it.
You seem like a really great friend reaching out for help for her. With depression it is hard to ask for help.
I would just let her know how you feel and express it in a way that you feel is good for her.
Do you know her family well? Does she have any history of depression or anxiety?
I hope you are having a great night. You deserve it.

I know her family, but I don't know if there is a history of depression or anxiety. Thank you so much. I just don't want to lose her.
