Giving Up Old Friends

As much as I keep hoping that I can have them the way they used to I know that I have to let some of them go. I guess that's why people move on and get adult friends. I need less of their stupid drama because it's just hurting me and fucking with my depression worst then it needs to.

Yes people change. You mature at different rates and experience different things so it's a natural part of life to move on. If they aren't helping you it's time to get new friends you can support you etc. True friends don't ever need an explanation you can not see them for 10 years and meet up and start a conversation like you were never parted. That's special and you'll be lucky to meet more than 5 people in your life who are like that. It's quality not quantity that counts with friends, unless friendships are more social than emotional for you.

Sometimes we grow away from people. It is hard as I have learned as well, but when it gets to the point where a person is toxic, it's healthier for you to step back.
